올해 4월 부터 내가 들은 모든 (공식 릴리즈된) 음악들을 기록 하기로 했다. 그리고 그걸 모아서 연말에 리스트를 만들어 보는 것이 올해 목표중 하나였다. 이 리스트는 2019년 동안 들은 음악들 중 가장 좋았던 음악들을 선정하여 만들었다. 정확히는 2019년 4월 14일 부터 12월 1일 사이에 들은 음악들을 대상으로 선정 하였다. 이 리스트에는 2019년 이전에 발됐지만 2019년에 들은 음악들도 포함 되어 있다.
좋은 음악의 기준은 개인마다 다르다. 내가 가지고 있는 기준은 나름 명확하다고 생각한다. 나는 주로 음악을 일 하면서 듣는데, 내가 일에 집중하고 있는 상황에서도 '이 음악 좋다' 라는 생각이 들면 정말 좋은 음악이다. 그러면 그 앨범을 좀 더 주의 깊게 듣고 그 앨범에 대해 생각해 본다. 이 리스트도 그러한 방식으로 만들어 졌다.
올해 들은 238개의 앨범 및 EP 중에 가장 좋았던 20개를 선정 하였다. 싱글은 제외 하였다. 그리고 각 앨범 및 EP에서 추천하는 두 곡을 뽑아서 플레이리스트를 만들었다. 내가 올해 들은 모든 음악은 이 페이지에 정리 되어 있다.
올해도 음악을 열심히 들어보려 했지만, 쉽지 않았다. 일상에 지쳐 새로운 음악을 듣고 싶지 않았던 때도 있었다. 그래도 이 리스트에 있는 음악들 덕분에 올 한 해를 잘 버틸 수 있었다. 내년엔 더 좋은 음악들과 함께 더 좋은 결실을 맻는 한 해를 보내길 바란다.
I started logging all the (officially released) music that I listen to since this April. And making a year-end list with the personal best music was my goal. This list consists of good music that I listened to in 2019. More specifically, this list is based on the music that I heard from April 14th until December 1st. This list contains albums and EPs that were released before 2019, yet I listened in 2019. However, most of the records are released in 2019.
Everyone has a different standard for 'good music.' I think my rule is quite clear. I usually listen to music while I'm working. If I think 'This music is good!', even though I'm focused on work, then that one is a really good one. Later, I try to focus more on that album and try to think about that album. All the music on this list gave me that 'wow' moment.
I chose 20 albums/EPs for this list among the 238 releases that I listened to. Singles were excluded. I picked two favorite songs for each record and made a playlist with them. Besides, all the records that I listened to are organized on this page.
I tried to listen to many records as possible, but it wasn't easy. Sometimes, I didn't want to hear any new music because I was frustrated by work. Though, I could go through this year because of these albums and EPs. I wish I can have a much better year in my career with more good music.
